The Workplace Lifesaver Essentials – Annual Refresher Training provides ongoing first aid competence and emergency preparedness, supporting employers in maintaining effective first aid arrangements in line with the Health and Safety (First‑Aid) Regulations 1981 and HSE L74 guidance.
This refresher training supports:
It is designed to complement existing First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work provision and forms part of a proactive approach to first aid governance.
Duration: 4 hours total
Combined Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) & Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) refresher training, covering essential life‑saving skills for adults, children, and infants.
Includes:
Training content is tailored to foreseeable workplace risks and aligned with existing emergency arrangements.
A structured review of existing first aid and emergency arrangements, including:
This review supports HSE’s expectation that first aid arrangements are monitored, reviewed, and kept under active management.
As part of the refresher service, we will issue:
HSE guidance recommends that first aid arrangements are reviewed regularly, particularly where:
Annual refresher training and review form part of good first aid governance and professional assurance.
